BBL Treatment (Broad Band Light)

Cellec V, one of the newest technology BBL devices, is a light therapy device that uses light with a wide wavelength of 420–1200 nm, while filtering harmful ultraviolet rays. Nine different filters are available, optical wavelength can be selected and variable parameters can be adjusted to suit the skin type. This provides the opportunity to safely treat many problems such as acne, spots, rosacea, and capillaries. Equipped with double filter with high absorption for both oxyhemoglobin and methemoglobin; Therefore, it can provide excellent treatment effect not only for traditional pigment lesions, but also for vascular lesions.

It has a contact cooling system mounted on the skin contact surface for faster and safer procedures. This provides a painless treatment process. IPL (intense pulse light) is a technology that has been used frequently in photorejuvenation (skin rejuvenation with light) treatments for many years. Cellec V BBL, a new generation IPL device, prevents wavelengths that can damage the skin, while allowing the application of short and long wavelengths together, allowing safe and effective treatment of vascular lesions.

By providing low energy transmission in a wide wavelength range, broadband light therapy provides a healing process that allows a rapid return to social life without a severe reaction after the procedure.

Which Diseases Is BBL Used To Treat?

With its nine different filters, BBL can be used safely and effectively in all individuals with light and dark skin, in the treatment of many different diseases.

These:

  • Acne
  • Red and brown spots that can be seen after acne
  • Rosacea (Rose Disease)
  • freckles
  • Lentigos (age spots)
  • Poikilioderma (damaged skin that can occur in sun-related skin)
  • Telangiectasias (visible and unwanted vascular networks in the skin)
  • In addition, with the Photoshower mode exclusive to Cellec V BBL, the deep layers of the skin are heated, triggering the skin to produce new collagen. Thus, the appearance of pores is reduced and fine wrinkles are improved.

Is BBL a Painful Treatment?

BBL application is not a painful procedure. During light flashes, a slight startle is felt on the face, like an insect bite. Afterwards, a short-term (a few hours) slight redness, warmth, burning sensation may be seen. Redness and darkening of the stain color may be seen around the areas where the stain appearance is observed. Within 1-2 weeks, dark areas may turn into thin scales and crusts, and the underlying stain appearance may become pale and may disappear almost completely.

How Many Sessions of BBL Treatment is Applied?

Although it may vary according to the needs of the person, an average of 4 sessions of treatment with an interval of 2-4 weeks is generally considered necessary.

In Which Season Is BBL Treatment Applied?

In order to apply BBL treatment, the skin must be protected from the sun and not tanned by the effect of the sun. For this reason, BBL treatment is not preferred during the summer months. It can be easily applied in other seasons.
